Sitting, sipping on a turkish black coffee, overlooking the Red Sea.Windchopped wave rolling south with the current. Almost as if its speaking sign language to me. Telling me to return home, return to Africa.
From where I am sitting, Africa is 150 meters away. The Egyptian border that is. But. I like it here. I love the curly haired woman who has more curves than a japanese drift track. I love the easiness of life here. Life is easy. Slow. My biggest concern is if my cats destroyed the apartment with their daily parkour. Katan, female and full of shit, she has 3 and a half legs. Also an ex street lurker, she is a ball of love. Not much into cuddling and cute things, she prefer the other things in life. Sleeping in the basin, eating sofa's and biting ankles.
Oliver on the other hand, is the opposite. Soft mannered and well behaved, he is the newest gang member. He loves sleeping on the bed at night, but will chew through a wooden door if it stopped him from doing so. Also, besides his love for me, I mentioned before his love for himself. (Read Naked)
*1 Hour later*
Just got back from a dive. Went south (underwater obviously) and got to the point where the Israeli and Egypt "border" meet. At 15 meters, there isn't a real border, just seagrass. Anyway, as I stared towards the egyptian side of the "border", I saw the most beautiful white/purple stonefish. Ok, I lied. I didn't stare towards the "border", I swam through it, into Egypt. Why? Because no good story ever started with "and I stared...". And, because I can, and because I am a rebel and and and...
Made me think... If there was any politicians here now, we will have a argument over who's stonefish it is. Does it belong to Israel or Egypt? We are this stonefish. We are just what we are. But, time, borders, race, religion, culture and tradition separates us. We blend in and adapt to any situation or location, yet we are told not to wonder, to explore or ask about the unknown. We are molded to be what is dictated to us. What is expected of us. But, now you think, well, I know this. Ive read this before..., yet there you, abiding to your surroundings, dictated by others.
Mix a cocktail, put some latin music and be the stonefish. Forget the rest.
